Well, here we go. These are my guitars. I have an Epiphone Sheraton that I have had for about 14 years and still love! I have recently modified the guitar by replacing the stock pickups. I now have a Seymour Duncan Phat Cat P90 in the neck, and Bare Knuckles Nail Bomb in the bridge. These have made such a huge difference to the sound. I would highly recommend stripping out those stock pickups to anyone else that owns an Epiphone Sheraton!
My next guitar is a recent acquisition. It's a PRS SE 245. I played this in a shop in New York just before Christmas with only half a thought of walking out with a new instrument, but it didn't take long to make my mind up! This is one of the most playable guitars I've ever encountered. Once you get used to that slightly short scale length, it becomes a joy to play!
Finally, here is my acoustic. It's a Yamaha APX900, bought in 2011, so it has 4 piezo pickups that allow you to mix them together as you like. This is a great guitar. It may have a smaller body than most acoustics, but this is still a loud guitar. It doesn't seem to lose anything on the bass side of things acoustically either as you may expect from the smaller body. The neck is beautiful to play, and great if you are switching to acoustics from electrics as it has that faster feel you get from an electric neck. Plugged in, it sounds great, and the amount of control you get from the pickup arrangement is fantastic, yet still simple to play around with. This guitar sounds really natural plugged in. I would seriously recommend trying out the Yamaha range if you are in the market for an acoustic. It would be a mistake to walk past them without a try!
And finally, here are the babies all together!
