Hi everyone.
I'm a new member to the forum and about to be the owner of a TE-1200 bass amp head. I still have my AH500-7 head, and I previously had a 12SMX combo, both of which had LEDs that made it really simple to detect if the input gain was close to clipping. However, I cannot see a similar LED on the new TE-1200, and the user manual makes no mention of any gain indicator or how to set the input level.
I wondered if anyone has any suggestions on how I can set the gain to the optimum input level so the amp is not trying to handle continuous clipping. I like a clean sound so I don't want to introduce any distortion to the signal and I use active bass guitars so the input signal is slightly greater than with a passive.
Any useful suggestions would be welcome
